May 31, 2011 GRE fishing report

At this time the Gunnison Gorge has been holding at 2540 cfs and fishing good. The Gunnison omelet has been working very well. We have been fishing streamers, some caddis, as well as bwo’s and San Juan worms. We had a trip go through the gorge on May 30 with good success, they caught about 10 fish a piece. The Smith Fork is running muddy to Pleasure Park and the North Fork is running at 5000 cfs. Starting on Friday, June 3rd, the Gunnison Gorge will increase 25% a day with a peaking flow of 8000 to 10000 cfs, it will then drop 15% after June 8th to 3000 cfs level, we think and this could change. Updates will be coming as we receive them.
